Lewis Class 19.04.2024

Date: 24th Apr 2024 @ 7:25am

Wow! What a super first week back Lewis Class have had!

In English this week, the children have been writing biographies about Sir David Attenborough where they thought carefully about their use of factual information, pronouns for cohesion, past perfect tense and using a range of sentence structures.

In maths, the children have been continuting to learn about fractions where they have been adding and subtracting fractions (incuding mixed numbers!).

In science this week, the children have been looking at animals and what their natural habitat looks like. During the lesson, we went into the school forest to go on a minibeast hunt. The children were extremely immersed during the lesson and found lots of different minibeasts which we then discussed once we were back in class.

On Friday, the children performed their 'Off by Heart' poetry. All off the children did a phenomenal job when performing and it was clear that everyone had worked incredibly hard to learn their lines - well done! Also, well done to our finalists Tia and Izzy who will be performing in the final on Monday.

Well done to our ‘Pupil of the Week’ Thavan for his super work ethic and attitude to his learning – keep up the excellent work Thavan!

Have a lovely weekend!

Miss Kingston :)
