Headteacher Round-up (week ended 8th March)

Date: 12th Mar 2024 @ 6:45am

The Year 5, Life in Tudor England, workshop Day proved to be a brilliant immersive experience on Monday. The children spent the day engaging in Tudor Life; making Tudor soap, attending a Tudor market and a banquet, being employed as a Tudor servant, acting as Tudor royalty and singing Tudor songs! An excellent learning experience.

Our boys football team enjoyed playing in a mixed game with Tyrells Girls team on Monday -it was not planned this way but all the footballers played with great sportsmanship and determination. Well done!

Our netball team were also in fine form this week! Our mixed squad played away against New Hall school and won 20-12. I watched this exciting match and could not have felt prouder of their skill and teamwork-an excellent result!

On Thursday, Perryfields was filled with lots of colour as our children (and staff) dressed up as an adjective of their choice to celebrate World Book Day. Our Celebration Assembly was an absolute rainbow of multi coloured outfits and I’m sure all the children loved all the reading activities that took part during the day.

Also, a huge thank you to Mike Dodsworth who filled our school with AMAZING TALES on Friday! Mr Dodsworth has been visiting our school for many, many years now and we are always absolutely mesmerised by the fantastic adventures of heroes, villains and fantasy! This was an exceptionally valuable learning experience for all our community. Thank you, Mr Dodsworth!
